Abstract

The present study was conducted during the 1404 academic year to assess the role and effects of educational guidance on the professional development of teachers in Musahi District. The study aimed to examine the effects of educational guidance on teachers’ professional competencies, teaching skills, improvement of teaching quality, and enhancement of educational activities. In terms of purpose, the study was applied; in terms of method, it was descriptive-survey; and in terms of data collection, it employed a quantitative approach. The statistical population of the study consisted of teachers working in schools in Musahi District. Data were collected through a researcher-developed questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 24 software.

The findings of the study indicate that educational guidance has a significant effect on teachers’ professional development. The level of the effect of educational guidance, improvement of teachers’ teaching skills, expansion of professional knowledge, and enhancement of teaching quality were all evaluated above the average level. Furthermore, the findings revealed that regular guidance, classroom observation, professional consultation, and experience sharing play a positive role in improving teachers’ teaching competencies, innovation, lesson planning, and the quality of students’ learning. However, the study identified several barriers to the effective implementation of educational guidance, including limited opportunities for professional training, weak communication among teachers, inadequate teaching resources, and time constraints.

In conclusion, educational guidance is an important and effective means of promoting teachers’ professional development and improving educational quality. Therefore, strengthening the capacity of educational guides, enhancing regular guidance programs, and providing teachers with opportunities for professional growth are essential.
