Abstract

The Uzbek language constitutes a complex and stratified national linguistic system. Its most salient assets include dialectal substrata and locally rooted phraseological units that have been transmitted through oral folk discourse. Each geographical area exhibits its own set of phonological, lexical, idiomatic, and appellative features—elements that function not only as linguistic units but also as indices of communal worldview, sociocultural values, and humor practices. The present study assembles and analyzes a body of dialect-specific lexemes and idiomatic expressions attested among speakers in Jarbashi village of the Yangiqala district. These units are systematically collected and examined about their linguistic structure, semantic properties, and ethnocultural significance.
