AN APPLIED ANALYSIS OF BRAVERY IN THE POETRY OF KHUSHAL BABA

This study presents an applied analysis of the concept of bravery and heroism in the poetry of the great Pashto poet Khushal Khan Khattak. Khushal Baba is regarded as a foundational poet of Pashtun national and social thought, who depicted themes such as bravery, loyalty, warfare, honor, and freedom as core values of life in his poetry. This article analyzes selections of his poems from literary, social, and philosophical perspectives to highlight the .role of bravery in shaping Pashtun social life The research concludes that Khushal Baba used the value of bravery to articulate a philosophy of individual and communal identity and survival. Khushal Khan Khattak was not only a remarkable poet, but also a political leader, intellectual guide, and revolutionary figure of his time. In his view, bravery was not merely a form of physical strength, but a moral and value-based standard. Through historical, literary, and philosophical analysis, the article demonstrates that this concept constituted a fundamental aspect of Pashtun social structure and continues to carry a relevant message for the contemporary world .
