Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Provide constructive, fair, and timely feedback on manuscripts.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all materials received for review.

  • Declare any conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment.

  • Ensure reviews are objective, unbiased, and based solely on the manuscript’s scholarly merit.

  • Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe (usually 2–4 weeks).


How to Become a Reviewer

  • If you are an expert in linguistics, literature, translation, or related fields and interested in reviewing for TUIJLL, please send your CV and areas of expertise to:
    editor@tuijll.af

  • Registered users can also indicate their interest in reviewing via the OJS reviewer profile.


Review Process Overview

  • TUIJLL uses a double-blind peer review system: reviewers do not know the authors’ identities, and authors do not know the reviewers’.

  • Reviewers assess manuscripts for originality, methodology, clarity, relevance, and contribution to the field.

  • Based on the review, manuscripts may be accepted, require revision, or rejected.


Reviewer Recognition

  • Reviewers receive acknowledgment for their service.

  • Selected reviewers may be invited to join the editorial board or advisory panel.
