THE SOCIAL VALUE OF LANGUAGE
Keywords:
thought, society, function, language, life.Abstract
From this topic, we have learned that language and social life are essential components of society, and most aspects of life are resolved through language. Without language, living in a society if not impossible is extremely difficult. It is clear that life, language, and society are interconnected, and without this connection, no kind of progress can occur in life, because language is a fundamental and highly significant factor of social life.
Language is a core element; linguistic culture introduces societies and individuals. The presence of language in a society defines the boundaries between individuals and various elements of existence. Linguistic issues and elements reveal the culture of a nation to the world; the death of a language is the death of a nation. Ignoring the cultural value of language means cutting off and ending relations with the world, through which a nation’s values, beliefs, and intellectual and mental level are expressed. Therefore, language and social life are closely connected. We cannot separate language from social life, because both are necessary, inseparable, and complementary to each other.
